With the Supreme Court's decision to allow corporations a free-for-all political buy out, we are reminded that we're ALL in this together - gay, straight, trans, women, immigrant, black, white, Latino, Asian, American Indian....all of us.
Texas District Attorney Ronnie Earle says it well in the 2006 documentary The Big Buy Out: How Tom Delay Stole Congress :
"Mussolini said that facism should more properly be called 'corporatism' since it represents the merger of state and corporate power. The great danger here is the merger of the power of the state, the power of the government, and the power of the corporations because that will be the death of democracy."
